+++***Chapter 17-The Spartans Have Landed***+++
-Because all your Spartans are being used, along with Argamennon, The Arbiter, and Marl team, this chapter jumps around alot. The jump to different charcters will be shown, as usual, with "--"
--------------------
The pod shook violently, but Charlie kept his eyes on the screen that showed where his trajectory was taking him; a head-on collision with Argamennon. He had swallowed his fears at the beginning, and thought nothing of how stupid he was. He had to have his COM channel turned off so that the other Spartans were'nt yelling at him to change crouse immediately. He gripped the energy sword in his right hand tightly asd the distance between him and Argamennon closed rapidly. Two kilometers, one point five. He noticed Argamennon's arms lengthenned tremendously to catch the rogue ship when it drew close enough. He also watched six Spartan markers jump out, attemtping a crazy jump that had been attempted twice before by Spartans.
Half a kilometer to go, and his visor polarized slgihtly from the explosion of the cruiser. He did'nt know if any Spartans were still aboard, but he did'nt want to know. Ian screamed at him to abort his trajectory over the COM channel, but Charlie turned it back off. He de-polarized his QCB helmet and waved his fingers over the ejection control. He dropped the pod's trajectory down, pulling on his stomach. Finally, when he was eight stories from the ground and only 100 meters away from Argamennon, he ejected.
The wall of the pod facing up towards Argamennon burst off, falling back behind him somewhere and became lost in the wreckage. The pod threw Charlie out of the pod, and his physics pushed back on the pod, sending it even farther back. Charlie pulled his legs up and held his body steady, cannonballing toward Argamennon.
Argamennon turned towards Charlie just as he jerked the energy sword alive. The weaker version of the only sword capable of defeating Argamennon came to a two-sided point, glowing white blue with ancient symbols in it a deeper sky blue. Charlie yelled at Argamennon, gaining extra adrenaline for the ridiculous stunt he was attempting. He was'nt about to stand back and shoot at him while Argamennon swung arms. Charlie preferred to be up close and personal, and that's what was about to happen. Right up in Argamennon's blood red eye.
Charlie spread his feet apart and stabbed the sword forward, piercing Argamennon's eye and spraying Flood juice everywhere. He grabbed onto the rough skin and placed his feet on the top and bottom of Argamennon's eye socket. Argamennon tried to close his eye, but could'nt with Charlie's feet in the eyes. Argamennon yelled in pain as Charlie dug the sword deeper in, then pulled out and slashed at his eye until he had to hold on with all four limbs as Argamennon thrashed around violently. "For an all-seeing and super smart creature," Charlie yelled to Argamennon, "I think you did'nt see me coming!"
Argamennon stopped, and breathed deeply. His eyes seemed to move slightly, staring at Charlie in a way that intimidated him. "You," Argamennon grabbed Charlie just as he whisperred, "Crud..." and lifted him off his eye. "Pest!" He dropped Charlie and jumped above him.
Charlie landed on the ground relatively easily, then looked up and screamed, "YOU SON OF A---!"
Argamennon shook the whole city as his body collapsed on top of Charlie and the pavement below him A cloud of smoke, dirt, and wreckage plumed out from the impact. Spartan 117 watched helplessly from free fall as the lone Spartan's bio-signs flatlined. The only hero to make Argamennon cry out in pain, was dead just as quickly.
--
Ty, Nicole, Ian, Fred, Kelly, and John fell down towards the ground below. Ian was out ahead, angling his body for a qucik fall. Everyone else was trying to slow down, but Ian saw a method no one had thought of. At the last second before he reached terminal velocity, he burst his limbs open and stopped some of his speed. He then pulled them abck together and tightenned into a ball, rolling his momentum forward into a spin. He raised his shields to the max power they could, nearly overloading his armour. He raised the gel layer power just he hit, and locked his armour together.
The rest of the Spartans did the same thing, except in a slower speed. They collided into the ground a couple seconds later than Ian. Two slammed directly into the ground and did'nt bounce, while the others recoiled from the ground and flew back up. They collided with some of the wrecked buildings which stopped them from continuing the fall.
Ian's momentum carried him back up, and over some low ruins. Right when he was above he unlocked his armour and painfully openned his body back up, landing on the ground in a stumbling sprint. His method worked though, he had less pain than the others were dealing with.
--
Alexander coughed violently, blood dotting the bottom of his visor. He tried to lift himself up, but screamed in pain as he realized a large piece of steel had wedged itself in his elbow. His shield was flutterring, and Alexander finally turned it off completely. It could'nt regenerate with the steel in its way. ALexander looked around slowly, his neck in pain as well. Their was several small fires, and then walls of the ship around him. His room had survived the fall, but barely. The outer wall in front of him was torn, pieces of metal litterred the floor and there was steel poles stabbed into several pieces. A piece of an offline fusion coil dangling down to his left five meters away, and threatenned to unleash enough toxic fumes to kill a city.
Ethan stood up shakily, then fell back down hard. He did'nt look at his left leg, which was twisted horrifically and spilled blood all over the destroyed cruiser under him. He lifted himself off his right knee and collapsed his weight on his arm against a still-standing piece of the wall. The fire next to him made it hot, and his suit had malfunctionned and no longer cooled him down.
Alexandra pulled herself up and out of the labrynth of metal. She was coughing slightly from smoke that made it into her helmet before it closed off and used its own stored oxygen. She only used her left arm, with her right broken and pulled out of its socket. Every other bone in her body was bruised, but she still dragged herself up and out of the wreckage. As she finally made it out, two differently shaped hands reached out and helped her to her feet. One was three fignerred and large, and the other was human. As she stood up, she caught sight of their faces. A horribly wounded Arbiter and Ethan stood above her, the Arbiter much more straighter. "You alright?" Ethan whisperred. Hehad to croak it out; something had bruised his vocal cord.
All she could do was nod. Her mandible had a hairline fracture in it, and even the slightest movement of it hurt like heck. To cough with it fractured was like stabbing it every single second.
"Where is the third Spartan?" The Arbiter asked. "Two have died I am sure, and all the Sangheili as well. Your third seems to be MIA."
"You're right!" Ethan whisperred, draping Alexandra's good arm over his good shoulder, and openned his COM channel out loud. "Alexander, can you hear me?"

The reply was a long yell of pain. "Yes," He finally replied. "I got a long piece of steel is lodged in my arm. I can't go anywhere." He yelled again, cutting it off by turning off his COM channel. There was too much noise going on to hear him outside of the channel.
"I shall go and search for him," The Arbiter replied, and walked off. Ethan tightenned his grip on Alexandra and limped horribly out of the labrynth, making his way through smoke and ruins until he found a clear openning.
--
"Drop complete in 3, 2, 1. Go, go, go!"
Fifteen pods slammed into the ground, exploding dirt and pavement up into the air. The doors burst open, and the Spartans took off sprinting. Directly ahead of them, one kilometer away, was Argamennon. He was'nt focussed on them yet, but that would soon change when he took care of his first problem. Linda was in front, swinging her sniper rifle's barrel around as he sprinted. She raised one of her hands and pointed two figners up, signalling for every to pair into twos. Without a moment's hesitation, every was paired. Linda paired with no one (since it was an odd number), Steve and Kris, Jordan and Stephanie, and the rest of the Spartans. (Who are unnamed, and have no special purpose in the story.) He then waved his fingers in a circular motion. The Spartans spread out, leaving in their own direction. Linda stopped, then backtracked out of Argamennon's reach. It was now up to them to defeat an enemy with near-to-no weaknesses.
Steve's suit instantly camoflauged, leaving Kris out in the open as he pulled some TNT from his pack and began filling it with nuclear radiation from his Mark suit. "Is that safe to be doing...?" Steve asked him from somewhere next to him.
"Absolutely not," Kris answerred truthfully. "I'm not sure if this will even work, anyway."
"So, I could die right now?"

"Yeah, basically. Along with me and maybe some other Spartans."
"Great..." Steve murmerred, then screamed, "Holy crap! Heads up!"

Kris looked up, then dropped the TNT and barrel-rolled to the side, radiation leaking across the ground. Argamennon's arm slammed into the ground where they once stood, shaking the ground and spraying large pieces of pavement over everything. The nuclear-enhanced TNT exploded under his arm harmlessly.
Argamennon's laugh echoed all the way to Linda.
It's finally here! Most of your Spartans are given something to do in this one, and if not expect Chapter 18 to quench your need to have you Spartan kick some Argamennon butt!

Okay, well only one person so far as hurt Aragmennon, and there is only one way to really kill him, and it's lost for eternity. So how will they win? :evillaugh:

Good, story. I am sure that you should introduce a Class-12 combat skin into the mix sometime soon!
If you do not understand, read Halo: The Flood.
